I worked with brokers and insurers to determine the relevant information required. This involved harmonising and enriching broker data with data from Companies House using string matching algorithms. This data was then transformed for inclusion in the platform to provide valuable insights to brokers and insurers. -

This research was part of the Wellcome Trust funded Scottish Health Informatics Programme (SHIP) which harnesses the power of Scottish data-linkage systems and clinical databases.I was also involved in a €30 million EU Innovative Medicines Initiative called SUMMIT (Surrogate markers for micro- and macro-vascular hard endpoints for innovative diabetes tools) developing algorithms to analyse measurements of lipids, metabolites, and putative biomarkers within serum. Through this work we identified candidate biomarkers which have shown evidence of improving the prediction of cardiovascular risk in those with diabetes. -

I was asked to remain at the company on a part-time basis.I was awarded First Place in the Tayside Regional Final, and the Judges Commendation in the Scottish Finals.
