I have over 18 years of experience in finance with NGOs, an auditing firm, and a multi-national corporation, with 14 years working for Global Communities. My experience includes financial, procurement, contracts & grants, HR, logistics and operational management, ensuring compliance with donor and organization policies, and serving as a focal point for external audits. I have significant experience managing a diverse range of USG-funded programs, including start-up and close-out, including USAID, USAID/OFDA, USDOL, and US Department of State. As Director of Finance and Administration or Chief Financial Officer for several programs over 14 years, I have been trained extensively in USG donor regulations and have been part of Global Communities Finance Department that had no findings on the audit. I have served in several posts through the Middle East, Africa and Asia including Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of CPA associations in Yemen. I am an international Arab Certified Public Accountant (IACPA). I am a Certified Financial controller (CFC). I am Certified Budget Specialist (CBS). I have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Sana’a University.
