I wrote my Master's thesis for post-consumer plastic recycling project of Ministry of the Environment. My topic was "Recycling of thermoplastic elastomers". In the experimental part I performed long-term ageing test for certain types of TPEs and tested the effects to material properties. In the literature research I wrote about ageing of TPEs both in processing and in use.

Katepal Oy produces roofing shingles and other roofing materials. I worked in quality control and R&D laboratory where I mechanically tested raw materials and final products to ensure good quality.

I participated in natural fiber composites-project by mechanically testing the samples. I also wrote literature research about biodegradable natural fiber composites.

My tasks were to perform chemical ageing tests for rubber and thermoplastic samples and test the effects in material properties with mechanical, thermic and spectroscopy methods. I also updated the material safety data sheet database.

I participated in a project about recycling of plastic and metal waste in Finland.

I measured physical and chemical properties of polymeric materials in a material laboratory. I tested effects of chemicals on plastics and did various thermal and mechanical measurements. I tested R&D’s samples and also did quality control of production samples.
