About Josh Berger
I’m a producer and creative director specializing in development and production of branded content and full-scale theatrical marketing campaigns. Over the course of my 20+ year career, I’ve produced hundreds of hours of content, including commercials and branded content segments for Ford, Heineken, Geico, Oreo, Subway, and other brands, and promotional content to support the releases of major TV and film properties like BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, FORD v FERRARI, AVATAR, SING, THE WALKING DEAD, AMERICAN CRIME STORY, and more. I also have an extensive background in TV production and have produced multiple nonfiction TV series and specials, including ANARCHY AFTERWORD, FX MOVIE DOWNLOAD, BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD, and STUNT JUNKIES.Because I’ve worked on both the client and vendor sides, I understand how to communicate with multiple stakeholders and deliver content that satisfies the goals of all parties involved. One of my biggest strengths is streamlining production processes -- because I’ve worked as a director/producer on the ground and as an executive developing comprehensive campaign strategies, I know how to allocate budgets, set realistic timelines and expectations, and drive my team to success. I’m passionate about mentorship and believe in building strong, inclusive teams that foster creativity, where everyone feels invested in the work and delivers their best.I’m always looking to connect with other professionals in the industry, so please feel free to get in touch!

Executive Producer
M3 Creative is a branded content and creative agency primarily catering to entertainment companies. Day to day, I work closely with clients to craft an overall creative strategy for content releases, including identifying and securing brand partners for promotional marketing partnerships. I have a long history of working with FX from my previous role at Mob Scene and brought that account over to M3, where I continue to develop promotional strategies for show launches, including an announced limited series for FX.
Vp Creative Content & Showrunner
I spent 12 years at Mob Scene, a creative advertising agency and production services firm catering to entertainment companies and Fortune 500 clients. I created BTS content, trailers and TV Promos to support marketing campaigns for various movies and TV show releases, including THE WALKING DEAD, ZERO DARK THIRTY, WORLD WAR Z, DIARY OF A WIMPY KID, and more. I served as the EP/creative director/director for commercial spots developed as part of promotional partnerships, including for Ford x CAPTAIN AMERICA, Taco Bell x Star Trek, Hellman’s x STRANGER THINGS, and Laurie Hernandez x SING! In this capacity, I made sure the creative aligned with both partners’ goals and communicated organic messaging. I continued creating promotional content throughout my time at Mob Scene, but my role expanded owing to my involvement with the FX account.Because of my background producing nonfiction content, I began showrunning the FX series LIFE AFTER FILM SCHOOL. I was able to revitalize the series by streamlining production, and I secured a long-term relationship with the network as a result – they became a $4M/year client and subsequently hired the agency to produce ANARCHY AFTERWORD, the after show for SONS OF ANARCHY, and FX MOVIE DOWNLOAD, with me at the helm as showrunner. I also directed several episodes of ROLL IT BACK on DISNEY CHANNEL, the after show for JUST ROLL WITH IT.I managed all aspects of these series from start to finish – conceptualizing the formats and brand look, hiring crews, collaborating with top-tier talent to produce interview segments, casting hosts, and supervising post. In particular, I overhauled the existing format of FX MOVIE DOWNLOAD to make it friendly for brand sponsorships. This resulted in lower production costs and requests from the network to produce additional branded content, including new Commercial series FX EATS and FX POURS, which featured brands like Heineken, Yoplait, Pizza Hut, and KitKat.
Consulting Producer, International Theatrical Marketing
As a consulting producer in the two-person international theatrical marketing department at 20th Century Fox, I created global promotional programming strategies for all of Fox’s feature films, like AVATAR, THE SIMPSONS MOVIE, and ALVIN AND THE CHIMPMUNKS. After establishing campaign goals for each film, I generated budgets and hired vendors to execute production of trailers and other promotional content for TV and digital platforms.
Producer / Director, Stunt Junkies
STUNT JUNKIES was a Discovery Channel show that featured extreme sports athletes completing death-defying stunts. As a field producer and director, I collaborated with athletes to plan stunts (i.e. BASE jumping in the Grand Canyon) and then figured out the logistics of how to cover them, including using helicopters and POV cameras to capture all angles. I also crafted the story beats leading up to the stunts and conducted hundreds of interviews to set up the athletes’ backstories and add emotional stakes to each episode.
Producer / Director / Writer
I worked on multiple projects at Asylum Entertainment, starting with THE SPORTS LIST, a half-hour sports news countdown show for FSN, where I led teams to secure footage and construct clip packages. I then moved on to serve as a documentary writer/producer/director on ANYTHING TO WIN, a GSN special about card player/gambler Amarillo Slim, and FEARLESS, OLN’s biography series featuring athletes overcoming injuries and setbacks to compete in professional sports. On these projects, I conducted extensive background research, interviewed cast, scripted all VO, and supervised editors to create story beats out of interview segments.
Producer / Director / Writer / Development
I joined FUEL TV (now Fox Sports 2) at its inception and helped craft a brand identity for the fledgling network. There, I cultivated a slate of original series, brainstorming concepts, developing formats, pitching series to network leadership, and managing all aspects of production. I also put together an infrastructure, hiring teams and establishing internal processes and workflow procedures.
Associate Producer / Director
I traveled to the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City and the 2004 Olympics in Athens and was a key part of a live production team to cover the Olympic Volleyball and Alpine Skiing events.
Producer / Associate Director
I originally moved to LA to work as an Associate Producer at FSN and rose to Producer/AD roles on productions like FOX SPORTS NEWS and THE LAST WORD WITH JIM ROME. In these positions, I wrote, field produced, and edited special segments, opens, and teasers for studio broadcasts and also served as an AD covering live sporting events like the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, and NBA playoffs. I eventually transitioned from full-time to freelance while pursuing various producing opportunities within the sports world, and my final role at FSN was as a Segment Producer and Associate Director on BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD, a daily two-hour live-to-tape studio production. In addition to serving as an AD for the daily show, I scripted and produced special edition broadcasts.
Producer / Director
I produced and directed live multi-cam regional broadcasts for WUSA games across the league during the 2001 soccer season.
