I architect the digitalization pyramid of hardware, data, tools, people and processes to establish operating models that focus on business value. To demonstrate the opportunity of these new capabilities I lead teams that will rapidly prototype and deploy vanguard projects leveraging new data assets and advanced modeling techniques then manage the handover to our client teams who can maintain, extend, and scale the delivered MVP.

I am a computational scientist working within BCG's Gamma division where we apply advanced analytics to unlock value and solve complex problems for our clients around the world through predictive modeling, optimization, and sophisticated data processing. As a Principal I lead teams that deliver discreet analytics assets, insights, and strategic solutions to our clients. I also advise our clients on the opportunities that exist for them as they embrace their own digital transformations to become data driven organizations.I will be spending most of 2019 and 2020 working from the Tokyo office of BCG where I'll have the opportunity to serve clients in Japan, Korea, China, and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

I have a short-term appointment as a Lecturer in order to teach "Data and Computation on the Internet" (AC263), affiliated with the Institute of Applied Computation and Engineering at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Science. I will be investigating infrastructure and models for computationally intensive research and finding ways to make these available to students as part of their own work and education.

In this role I will be acting as a high performance computing consultant to the School of Engineering, establishing infrastructure and curriculum associated with computational science. I am acting as a Campus Champion to XSEDE (a collaboration of a ~dozen US supercomputing centers) to support the use of supercomputing facilities by Harvard faculty, staff, and students. I'm also slated to have a part-time Lecturer role in the Institute of Applied Computational Science starting in September.

During this postdoctoral fellowship I worked in the lab of Dr. Piotr Sliz and addressed issues in computational structural biology, primarily around novel compute intensive techniques for protein structure determination. This involved deploying a software, services, and workflows onto the US Open Science Grid (a federated grid computing infrastructure of ~100k job slots) and developing frontend interfaces to the workflow and infrastructure. The interfaces were primarily developed using the Python-based Django web framework.
