- Volunteer with monthly clinics providing free mental and dental care to the underserved border community of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico as pharmacy and triage coordinator.- Apply bilingual proficiency to directly communicate with patients, collecting health information and vitals (blood pressure, blood glucose, temperature, etc.)

Organized at least 5 fundraisers per semester with local and national vendors, managing club budget and applying for additional funding from university governing bodies.

Preceptor for General Chemistry I (CHEM 151), taught by Dr. Tori Hidalgo- Hold weekly office hours and assist in review sessions, helping students to better understand course content and difficult concepts and sharing study strategies and materials

- Design individually tailored lesson plans, using positive reinforcement and spaced review to help students master challenging Mandarin, K-8 Math, K-8 Science and Spanish concepts over 50+ hours as volunteer and 70+ hours as an independent contractor- Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions and adjust instructional methods as needed, communicating goals and coordinating logistics with parents

Worked in Dr. Chi Zhou's lab focusing on molecular mechanisms, specifically the role of microRNAs, underlying breast cancer development and fetal endothelial dysfunction in complicated pregnancies in joint project with UA Cancer Center and Mel and Enid Zuckerman School of Public Health. Wet lab experience: RNA isolation, RT, RT-qPCR, tissue grinding, tissue sectioning w/ cryostat, cytology slide preparation

Mentored by Dr. Purnima Madhivanan for research project exploring miRNAs as biomarkers of breast and cervical cancer. -Poster presentation at Honors First-Year Project Symposium, awarded Best in Lab Experience Category

Conducted research exploring role of miRNAs in cervical cancer, facilitating adoption of miRNA-related lab SOP-Worked in conjunction with JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (AHER) and CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI)

-Assisted in organizing and executing 20+ club meetings and events related to undergraduate research, professional development, student advising, and community service.-Organized workshop where undergraduate students could meet with upperclassmen to receive advice regarding course registration and class specifics, lightening the load on NSCS academic advisor during enrollment period.

Collaborate with undergraduate students at La Universidad de la Rioja in Spain to develop open-source Spanish and English educational materials aligned with UN SDG 16 “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” with an emphasis on immigration issues related to the US/Mexico border and Iberian peninsula.-Mentored by Border Studies PhD Candidate Carmella Scorcia Pacheco
