For this project I was assigned to the Department of Administration in Madison, WI.I created a migration and deprecation strategy for operational systems. I documented the Current database and created the target database structure to support the current and new functionality.- I documented the current database with more than 2,000 objects.- I designed and created a normalized database and the corresponding DDL for the new database containing less than 1,100 database objects.- I defined and documented the migration process and created and tuned more than 300 queries for the data migration.- I performed a data cleansing of 20+ years old data. allowing to move only the needed information improving response time and data accuracy.As a seasoned Database Architect with more than 10+ years of experience, I independently designed and built the the required relational and normalized databases objects.This position will participate in a feasibility study for the Department of Safety and Professional Services, to document the data structures for their two largest business systems, ICE and Regulated Objects, and then make recommendations for a future road map for the two applications (which could include integration, redesign, or COTS solution). Data warehouse architect for the Teradata database.I was assigned to GE Health care in Milwaukee, WI.The customer need to provide Database BI support for a number of projects, I was assigned to provide support for Quality related projects. My main role is to validate the new database structures for the new projects and make sure those fit with the Institutional data warehouse structure, standards and guidelines, I am also responsible of define the common structures and appropriate usage. I am working with 4 different projects supporting them on the database and data warehouse requirements.Project ManagerThe customer was in need to handle all resources assigned to several BI related projects. The customer had a 28 resources stock and they need to assign them efficiently into several projects based on the skill required for a particular assignment. I was in charge of elaborate the resource allocation plan and to keep track on every resource assignment, to make sure each one fits customer requirements, expectations and timing. I was preparing daily and weekly progress reports on each project and for each team member, also I was coordinating and leading the customer meetings to define requirements and commit resources. I was working with a 28 developer’s pool, to support 15 projects and to fulfill the needs of 25 users; the developers and users were located in different countries with different time frames, most developers where located in India, China, Mexico and USA, and all the users where located in several USA locations nationwide.
