Student Volunteer
CurrentAt the Teenage Cancer Trust, I had the privilege of supporting young people navigating the challenges of cancer. I provided both practical and emotional support to patients and their families, helping to create a welcoming and understanding environment. My role involved organising activities designed to boost morale and resilience, listening to and comforting patients, and ensuring they had access to resources tailored to their unique needs. This experience allowed me to develop my empathy, communication skills, and the ability to connect with individuals during some of their most difficult moments. Witnessing the strength of young people in the face of adversity reinforced my commitment to making a meaningful impact, and I gained a deeper understanding of how compassionate support can positively influence well-being.
