My main responsibilities are the preparation of the month end accounts for 6 entities (4 in the Middle East, 2 in Europe) in 2 systems (SAP, Tagetik). Responsible for: Cash uploads and cash allocations, balance sheet accounts reconciliation, reconciling prepayments, preparing ‘custom hours’ reconciliations for intercompany transfers across 3 entities. Other responsibilities include: entering purchase invoices and preparing supplier payments, bank reconciliations for different currency accounts (GBP, EUR and USD), assisting with monthly reporting, Achievements: Assisted in the testing and implementation of a new accounting system (from Dynamics to SAP); due to my input this lead to be nominated to a Super User; Training new members of the finance team (Accounts Payable, Invoicing) leading to a more stable workforce

Working closely with the German Sales team, initially responsible for German debt collection along with credit checks and credit limits for German customers. During my time in this role, my responsibilities expanded to include UK AR: Credit management, month end AR reconciliation, unallocated cash reconciliations.Achievements: Reduced the German AR balance by 30% through collection process improvements; established a new, more efficient process for credit memo handling resulting in significant time saving during audit

Managing approximately 500 accounts across Europe (primarily German speaking areas), working to ensure prompt and efficient collection of outstanding debts. Seeing each case through to resolution and collaborating closely with the billing department to negotiate customer payment plans or refunds as required, while preparing accounts for legal action when necessary.
