CurrentAs an IT Support Technician my responsibilities include:1. Technical Support: I promptly respond to and resolve technical issues for embassy staff members, providing troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.2. Hardware and Software Maintenance: I handle the installation, configuration, and upkeep of computer hardware and software systems, including performing regular upgrades, patches, and managing the hardware inventory.3. Network Management: I assist in managing the embassy's local area network (LAN), ensuring network security, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.4. User Training and Documentation: I provide training to embassy staff, empowering them to use software applications, hardware devices, and network resources effectively, and develop user guides and documentation for independent issue resolution.5. Information Security: I contribute to implementing and enforcing security policies, managing user accounts, access controls, backups, and collaborating on security measures like firewalls and encryption protocols.6. Project Support: I actively participate in IT projects, offering technical expertise, collaborating with team members, and ensuring timely completion.7. Vendor Liaison: I serve as a liaison between the embassy and external vendors, managing technical requirements, service contracts, and procurement of hardware and software.In this role, I utilize my knowledge in computer science, information technology, and networking to maintain the embassy's technology infrastructure. Working closely with a diverse and international community, I prioritize exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and attention to detail. I am dedicated to safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of embassy systems while providing outstanding support to staff members.
