Air Force Network (AFNet) is an Indian Air Force (IAF) owned, operated and managed digital information grid. As, Section In-charge of the AFNet, my team of 22-25 engineers, is responsible for the administration, up-keep maintenance and on-going support of the AFNet services.My role also includes operational governance for AFNet services, including Vendor management with IT & communication suppliers (BEL, HCL, TCS, BSNL, HFCL etc)

Prior to AFNet, legacy communication in Indian Air Force was based on the Microwave Links. As, Section In-charge of the AFNet, my team of 18-20 engineers, was responsible for the administration, up-keep maintenance and on-going support of the communication services.

As SNCO In-charge of the technical team (10-12 Engineers), my team was responsible for technical maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting of communication equipment - Multiplexing & Radio Frequency systems.

Right after the completion of training, started working as a Radio Technician.
