I recently graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a double major in environmental sciences and sociology, and now attend as a graduate student in the Master of Arts in sociology program. My passion for environmental justice has driven me to build an interdisciplinary skillset, gaining experience in environmental field work and research, as well as developing my sociological imagination to study global environmental issues from the sociological perspective. I have been involved in social-environmental research on the UNH campus for the past two years, with a focus on environmental education, ecoanxiety, and coping styles.I additionally work with the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation as a research assistant. Stepping into this position following an internship, I have been given the opportunity to conduct research through the gender lens. My work at the foundation additionally supports their policy and advocacy initiatives, as I conduct data and policy analysis on topics relating to the wellbeing of women and girls in the state, working to promote gender equity.
