About Ilana Bravo
I received my MS in Occupational Therapy from Stony Brook University’s School of Health Professions. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Political Science in 2010, also from Stony Brook University.I have experience working with children ages 5-16 in a school-based setting providing individualized interventions addressing fine motor, visual processing, sensory processing, handwriting, and self-regulation skills. I work with children with a variety of diagnoses including Autism, Down Syndrome, ID, OHI, visual impairments, and SLI. I am experienced in providing evaluations, completing progress reports and annual reviews, writing IEP goals, and providing individual and small group pull-out services, individual push in, and group push-in services. In addition, I have experience providing services in the home and daycare settings for the preschool population. I am passionate about pediatric health, occupational justice, advocacy and mental health. My interests include sensory integration, health promotion, 3D printing, and accessibility. I am a firm believer in client-centered practice, and strive to always place my client's interests and goals at the forefront of therapy. I am a self-starter, active listener, and passionate advocate for my profession and clients. I approach challenges with creativity, flexibility, and a love of research and discovery. I pride myself on my professionalism, clear communication, integrity, work ethic, and empathy.
