Ilan was responsible for investigating the feasibility of and shaping the deployment approach to new countries in Africa, South America and Europe. This included developing a playbook which documented previously informal approaches, and created new processes, templates and tools. The approach included all phases of the lifecycle, including Explore (feasibility study), Prepare (set-up, build and implement), Go-live, Scale and Support. Ilan worked as a Project Manager in the Makro Project Team where she focused on retail supply chain projects including Supply Chain Review, Inventory Optimisation, SAP Replenishment implementation, Category Management and Supply Chain Collaboration. When she first joined Makro, she completed a Merchandise Internship which saw her working as a buyer and planner.

Ilan worked at the various Personal Care production facilities in Durban as a Project Manager, Production Planner and Unit Manager (production management).
