Ileana M. Albareda, Ed.D is a passionate educator, proven leader, and curriculum expert. She specializes in utilizing robust approaches for continuous innovation to improve instruction, amplify curriculum, and deliver aligned professional development. As a former Instructional Supervisor for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Department and Education Transformation Office, the fourth largest school system in the United States, her commitment to executing sustainable strategies has demonstrated significant improvement in the transformation of schools, their curriculum, and student achievement. Dr. Albareda is a veteran educator and administrator with over 21 years of experience in literacy, science and STEM education, curriculum development, teaching and learning, educational leadership, and teacher professional development. She is passionate about public education and is a firm believer in education being the great equalizer. Raising awareness of environmental issues has always been high on Dr. Albareda’s instructional agenda. She is always striving to promote a commitment of excellence and exudes a vision of quality education within and outside of classroom walls. Her dedication and enthusiasm for teaching and leading is evident in her strong leadership skills in the planning and execution of several initiatives at different school sites throughout the nation to develop environmental literacy that is grounded in science, using tested educational tools, methodology, and pedagogy.
