• Provide advice on Local Content (LC) policies and legislations, LC and procurement related clauses in Petroleum Agreements and JOAs• Advocate for flexible and realistic LC policies and regulations with host governments including face-to-face presentations to Ministers of Petroleum, Energy and Mines, government advisors, CEOs, regulators, private and public organizations, industry associations, competitors, NGOs, indigenous suppliers and communities• Prepare LC Plans and reports emphasizing workforce and supplier development, and strategic community investments; evaluate LC Plans submitted by EPC companies participating in Major Capital Projects’ Invitations to Tender (ITTs)• Advocate for flexible and realistic LC policies and regulations with host governments, and commission Industrial Baseline Studies (IBS) to develop LC strategies that meet host countries requirements• Review and provide input to LC metrics and methodology• Lead cross-functional team meetings by country to address LC issues, develop strategies, and maintain alignment among key internal functions • Survey LC legislations, regulations and policies to identify/monitor trends and best practices• Review and provide feedback to academic papers, industry associations initiatives and events, and other organizations looking for EM’s expertise in LC • Represent EM in various LC Task Forces and Working Groups (IPIECA, AMEXHI, OECD, World Bank, Chatham House’s New Producers Group)• Attend O&G conferences and summits worldwide that include LC in their agendas• Plan and implement global supplier diversity initiatives and collaborate with WEConnect International by engaging women-owned businesses (WOB) to EM's value chain• Support EM Women’s Economics Empowerment Initiatives by representing EM in internal and external events• Hold global supplier forums to communicate business opportunities and share EM’s expectations
