Researched the cost-effectiveness of adapting intake forms in obgyn settings for women residing in Ireland but originating from Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) prevalent nationsassisted in developing a brochure on FGM/C. I also,initiated a series of meetings with medical staff to discuss FGM. This being in-line with AkiDwA’s objective to raise awareness among hospital workers in regards to the adverse effects of the procedure.

With Pathfinder International I focused on health and development projects aiming to increase community level access to quality reproductive health, family planning services and contraceptive methods. While based in Washington DC; I was privileged to have been able to participate in projects serving Yemen, Sudan, Nepal and Egypt. These projects promoted family planning, clean and safe labour, postpartum family planning and prevention of HIV/AIDS. I develop training materials and facilitated training of health care workers.

Worked with the inpatient, outpatient, and urgent-care services team, to help alleviate medical conditions that the patients presented with. I was extremely diligent to be part of a team yet provide on-the-spot medical care to urgent care patients following departmental standards and protocols in providing clients with an individualized and holistic management techniques.
