SPIN - Space Innovation is a nonprofit organization with a strong focus on the advancement and knowledge-sharing of space technologies, consisting mainly of university students. We believe that scientific knowledge about space should be readily accessible to young people. Thus, we enable students, in high schools and universities, and the youth in general who is curious about space to get involved with space technologies, giving them the opportunity to get familiar with the process of design and execution. Our vision is the growth of the space sector in Greece through research and development on various projects, as well as educational programs.Our actions include:- Organizing national competitions, CanSat in Greece- Training courses on programming, electronics, and robotics using Arduino microprocessors- Research and development in the Rocketry field

Among the 30 students selected by ESA. Taking advantage of the Concurrent Engineering approach, through the direct use of the Concurrent Model-based Engineering Tool (COMET) software and identifying design drivers after a mission brief, L.O.V.E (Large Orbiter Venus Explorer) space mission project was created. L.O.V.E, was an interplanetary mission whose aim was to develop a monitoring system to investigate and observe Venus clouds through a floating probe and a satellite. I was involved in the Configuration Team.

CanSat in Greece is a Greek National Space Competition for high school students. Teams are tasked with envisioning a space mission, designing and building their own educational satellite in a size of a soda can.Organising the competition was an all voluntary effort! Assisted the SmileyBin team by designing and building a working prototype of a Smart Recycling Bin. SmileyBin is Arduino based and it recognizes the type of waste by weight and rewards the user with points through an app. It recharges through solar panels and has an automated belt system that discards the waste after processing.

Icaromenippus 3D was a student team who participated in the 2012 European CanSat Competition, organized by ESA. The team's cause was to create an educational satellite at the size of a soda can. The satellite was launched by an intruder type rocket to 1km height and its goal was to create a 3D Model of the Earth's surface by taking photos during its landing.Personal involvement included:- Project Manager: Research and Organizing- Software Engineering: Arduino programming, Photogrammetry- Mechanical Engineering: Satellite structure, Parachute engineering and CAD design- Electrical Engineering: Εlectronics and Electronics Placement, PCB prototyping
