These activities engaged a global innovation community, from MIT's Media Lab to the KINU Innovation Hub in Tanzania, through a series of developer events creating code, hacking and prototyping.• The planning and execution of community mapping for flood and disaster resilience across Dar Es Salaam, Africa's fastest growing city. I led a team composed of the World Bank, Commission of Science and Technology (COSTECH), University of Dar Es Salaam and University of Ardhi and other CSOs in mapping the city, creating spatial data and identifying flood prone areas to inform the Urbanisation Review and other upgrading projects within the Urban portfolio.• Development and implementation of a Geonode platform for climate change and disaster risk assessment and reduction.This included developing a spatial data strategy for the creation, curation and use of spatial data in Tanzania, working with the Prime Minister's Office for Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG), eGovernment Agency and National Bureau of Statistics.
