A privately owned boutique private wealth management practice Equitas Wealth specialises in the management of their client’s financial affairs by providing complex and wide-ranging wealth management needs. I was seconded to this role from Westpac and assisted with the establishment of this new business.Responsibilities:• Business development and sales, capitalising on an existing client base while developing new opportunities to achieve revenue targets, and initiating partnerships with other organisations• Providing exceptional client service and advice both in person and over the phone in relation to retirement planning, business succession planning, new investment opportunities, insurance options and superannuation, in addition to performing annual portfolio reviews for clients• The creation of wealth building strategies for clients to fit with risk attitudes, overall health, maximising financial position, debt and investment consolidation• Performing detailed analysis of clients’ current financial situation, and undertook comprehensive needs analysis, identified future goals, and produced Statements of Advice• Financial reporting, presenting at Board Meetings and developing strategies to grow the business • Varied marketing strategy and analysis tasks, including detailed analysis of client survey data to determine the target market, client satisfaction, marketing campaign success and client motivators• Kept abreast of changing legislation and compliance, and mitigating risk• Administrative tasks included maintenance and updating of databases and diary management• Creation of all correspondence to clients and relevant supporting documentation
