Following my retirement from playing representative Rugby Union from 2006-2022, I made a significant career shift into coaching. This transition reflects not only my passion for rugby but also my desire to give back to the sport that has given me so much. My journey as a coach has been greatly informed by my experience in high-performance programs and education.In my coaching role, my leadership qualities shine through. I have the ability to inspire and guide athletes, drawing from my own experiences as a player at the highest level. My leadership style is characterised by a friendly and warm approach, fostering strong relationships with my players and motivating them to perform at their best. I believe in the power of teamwork, self-discipline, and continuous improvement. I am process-driven, where the acts of refinement and cognition foster desired results.In addition to my coaching endeavours, I continue to excel in my role at Camperdown Sunshine Kids Long Daycare Centre. I started my journey at the centre in 2016 as an Educator and have steadily progressed through various leadership roles, including Room Leader and Educational Leader. My recent addition as an Assistant Director highlights my commitment to providing the best possible educational environment for the children under our care.At Camperdown Sunshine Kids, I leverage my interpersonal skills to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children & staff. Our educational program is predominantly influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach, which places a strong emphasis on collaboration, creativity, and child-led learning. My ability to connect with both children, families and staff in a warm and friendly manner has been instrumental in fostering a sense of community and trust.Overall, my journey from rugby player to coach and my role at Camperdown Sunshine Kids demonstrate not only my expertise in high-performance programs and education but also my exceptional leadership qualities, motivation skills, and interpersonal abilities. I am dedicated to making a positive impact in both fields and am excited to continue this fulfilling journey.
