Established in 2010, International Law Moot Court Community (ILMCC) is a community open to all UPH Law School Students, especially those who are passionate and compassionate in international law and moot court competitions. We aim to increase interest in international law and moot court competitions through holding events such as webinars, talk shows, social media posts, and our annually-held High School Moot Court Competition.We facilitate our students to compete in international moot court competitions, by providing in-depth coaching for both memo writing and oral pleading, connecting students with law practitioners, and having an extensive list of seniors who are working in the field. We participate in several moot court competitions such as the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition, the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, the WTO Dispute Settlement Moot, International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition, Asia Cup Moot, and many more. In law school, the closest experience that a student can get to appearing in a court is through mooting as it is the best way one can learn to practice law, especially in comparison to merely reading, interpreting, researching, and writing. By joining a moot court, a student gains unprecedented experience and exposure in the field of legal studies, much more than any other activities in law school.
