I was a part of the Faculty of Economics (FEUC) of the University of Coimbra. My host supervisor was Teresa Almeida Cravo (PhD, Associate Professor).Key achievements:▪ worked on three papers devoted to the topics of new Russian migrants after February 2022 and contemporary masculinities in Central Asia;▪ participated in various academic seminars and workshops at Centre for Social Studies (CES) and Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra;▪ attended the International Summer School "War Memory and Memories of War" at CES, enhancing my understanding of inclusive masculinities and dialogue processes in post-conflict scenarios;▪ presented my research proposal and networked with legal scholars from multiple countries within the 5th Summer School in Comparative Legal Studies for Young Researchers at the University of València;▪ engaged with CES researchers and other academic professionals, establishing connections for future research and publication opportunities.

I was a part of the Department for Publishing Programs at the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM).My achievements:▪ edited 150+ articles for the academic journal “Monitoring of Public Opinion: Economic and Social Changes” (Scopus Q2 in Sociology);▪ translated a book “Analyze! Crafting Your Data in Qualitative Research” (by Jens Rennstam and David Wästerfors) from English to Russian, as well as managed the editing process;▪ as a scientific editor worked on a 640-pages sci-pop volume “The Two in the Society” ─ a fascinating story about intimate couples in Russia;▪ as an expert gave comments to the mass media regarding VCIOM's public opinion polls on the issues of family, childlessness, gender, and sexuality;▪ moderated and participated in public discussions and book presentations on behalf of the Department and the company.

Key responsibilities:▪ academic SMM and content creation in both English and Russian for the Laboratory's official website, Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram accounts;▪ editing reports and other materials of the Laboratory;▪ working on individual research projects with a special focus on sociology of family, publishing articles;▪ co-organizing of international events of the Laboratory – regular seminars, conferences, and summer schools;▪ communication with associate researchers from around the world.

A position within the project “Family on the Move: Theoretical and Empirical Issues in the Context of Labor Migration in Russia” (Russian Science Foundation Grant no. 22-18-00377; 21 000 000 RUB).My responsibilities:▪ conducted expert interviews with researchers, school teachers, public officials, and NGO representatives;▪ wrote analytical notes on the legal regulation of migration in Russia and the CIS;▪ composed bibliography lists and wrote literature reviews;▪ collected and analyzed state and independent statistics;▪ published a book review in a top journal on qualitative sociology (Laboratorium: Russian Review of Social Research).

I gave lectures and seminars on public opinion research and minority groups' political behavior, as well as evaluated final essays within the course “Political Behavior” (for undergraduates).

I visited Lund University as a Sverker Åström Foundation scholarship holder (50 000 SEK). My host supervisor was Christopher Swader (PhD, Associate Professor).▪ Worked on two academic articles: one on the issues of conceptual field of studies on non-parenthood in Russia (published in Q2 Scopus Journal), and another on the ideological foundations of masculinist online-communities in RuNet.▪ Participated in workshops at the Department of Sociology, Lund University: “Crafting your Data in Qualitative Research” (instructed by David Wästerfors) and “Qualitative Coding and Analysis using NVivo” (instructed by Tullia Jack).▪ Had consultations with the Department of Sociology staff.

As a Teaching Assistant I worked with Radik A. Sadykov, an Associate Professor at the Department of General Sociology, for almost 5 years. I helped him within the courses “General Sociology”, “Contemporary Media and Consumption Culture”, “Culture of Modern Societies: A Sociological Analysis” and “Visual Sociology as a Tool for Studying Contemporary Culture. Cinema as a Sociological Text”. Moreover, in 2018 we organized a student sociological field expedition to the PJSC AvtoVAZ in the city of Togliatti (Samara Region, Russia).Key responsibilities:▪ creating summaries of classic sociological texts and evaluation of tests based on these texts;▪ assessment of student essays;▪ conducting seminars;▪ methodological support of the field expedition.

I wrote literature reviews for the project “Framing Sex as Political Protest” (supervized by Irina V. Soboleva and Yaroslav A. Bakhmetjev) devoted to the analysis of the effects of the implementation of 2013 “Gay Propaganda Law” on the narratives of the LGBTQI+ people in Russia.I was mentioned in “Acknowledgements” section in the final publication (“Sexuality & Culture” journal): https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12119-014-9268-8.

I used to be an author of the idea and organizer of a series of events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Igor Kon, famous Soviet and Russian sociologist, gender and sexuality researcher. Managing this project, which was supported by the Department for Publishing Programs at the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), was my main responsibility during the internship.Key achievements:▪ organized a special session “Continuing Igor Kon” with top speakers within the framework of the VIII Sociology Grushin Conference “Sociologist 2.0: A Profession in Transformation” (Moscow, Russia);▪ collected proposals and draft texts of future articles, did reviewing and science editing for special section “Gender, Family, Sexuality. Continuing Igor Kon” within the academic journal “Monitoring of Public Opinion: Economic and Social Changes” (№ 6 2018, № 2 & 6 2019). These editorial activities were shared with Irina N. Tartakovskaya, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISRAS).

Key achievements:▪ launched and successfully completed a charity fundraising of photo cameras for children from the North Caucasus;▪ archived the materials of a unique qualitative sociological study on the North Caucasus region women lives narratives;▪ co-organized a series of offline events on the issues of green economy.Moreover, I also:▪ worked with financial documentation (first of all, comparing vendor proposals);▪ permanently communicated with Foundation's experts, contractors, and representatives of other offices of the Foundation.

I got a Letter of Appreciation for “diligence, responsible approach to data collection, and attention to detail”.Key responsibilities:▪ recruiting of respondents for the longitudinal cohort panel study “Trajectories in Education and Careers” (TrEC);▪ permanent communication with organizers of the study.
