Hello, my name is Ilona LaRoche and I am currently working at Five Star Tennis Center in Plainfield, IL as a Tennis Professional. I work with all sorts of clients from beginner red ballers to advanced adults, all with the focus of improving their game as well as having as much fun on the court as they are learning! I am an alumnus of Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Tennis Management with a minor in Marketing. After obtaining my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in June of 2017, I worked at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club for three months on internship. My various duties were teaching tennis and training the athletes to stay conditioned in their off season. Hampshire Hills had clay courts, but I also worked on hard courts in my past internships at H-F Racquet & Fitness Center. There, I taught tennis to all ages, from juniors to senior players. I have worked at the Ferris State Racquet & Fitness Center instructing the Suspension Training classes and offering personal training services. I strive to be flexible, patient, and understanding with all my clients by helping them meet their goals in a timely and efficient way. My professional goals are to work at a facility where I can grow my knowledge of the game, improve my teaching and coaching capabilities while at the same time training athletes or non-athletes in the gym.
