Interested in the decarbonization of cities with a prevalence of informal settlements.My current research explores how residents of informal settlements reconfigure their neighboring green landscapes for infrastructural purposes in Portoviejo city, Ecuador. The aim is to identify what triggers ‘still green’ transformations of informal settlements in rapidly growing cities of developing countries.
