After a few years as a visiting scientist at Sloan Kettering Institute f Cancer Research, I was granted permission to immigrate in 1963, became US citizen in 1968. Gathered a lifetime of experience in scientific laboratory research,writing and editing scientific reports and publications. Had engagements in cultural and community organizations, currently still serving Steuben Society of America as elected National Secretary, and as contributor to its newspaper. I also serve as Vice President of the Society of the Shrine of the Bill of Rights at St Paul's NHS, Mount Vernon,N,Y. Member of WELCA at St Matthew's Lutheran Church, White Plains, NY. Interests are literature, music, history of Germans in America, German-American relations, translations. Helping others whenever I can, especially sunshine Eric, my grandson.
