Ms Myburgh merges her talents as an accompanist and piano teacher with an entrepreneurial spirit, mentored in the Prof Joseph Stanford tradition of performance excellence. Influences of master classes with Fabio Bidini, Vladimir Viardo, Dorian Leljak, Svein Børkøy, Albie van Schalkwyk, Jill Richards, Andrew Warburton and the late Peggy Haddon, has shaped her stylistic playing and interpretation of classical music. Pauline Nossel and Prof Malcolm Nay were her mentors in achieving a Masters degree in chamber music. As the inspirational director and project manager of the Beka Bantwana Foundation, Ilse is expanding her role as an advancement educator, with dedicated investment in a spectrum of pupils who seek to showcase their talents, reaching out to young children through the enjoyment of music. Her pupils have won numerous National competitions eg. the National Chamber Music Competition for High school pupils (overall winners), Roedean Music Competition (overall winner), Mini Maestros Competition for the very young musician (category winner), P H Moore Competition (category winner), laureates at local and National eisteddfods/festivals and performs regularly at National and International level. Ms Myburgh has also produced numerous University candidates. Her motto is "Every child can learn to read music, even the very young."

Syllabus designing, theory lecturer, organising Eisteddfods, music festivals, internal and external exhibitions as well as showcasing our talented students within the community. Open day exhibitions planning and execution. • Shared extensive knowledge of work and repertoire in the field of piano pedagogy, teaching 56+ pianists and introducing early piano tuition to students as young as age 3. • Assisted in the organization of The Curro Hazeldean Centenary festival by presenting mass choir and orchestral concert, music concert of junior and senior school, launched the new Drumline and amalgamated all the cultural activities of the school in one production • Participated in ensemble and chamber music accompanying, training and collaborated with the choir, string, wind and contemporary music departments. Eg. Curro Hazeldean senior choir were laureates in the finals of the KykNet "Sing in Harmonie" National competition for school choirs. Finals held September 2018.

Invited as part-time accompanist and ensemble coach at the University of Witwatersrand for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Performed regularly at staff recitals and coached smaller chamber music ensembles.

Project Manager of music competition (age5+)Beka Bantwana Foundation  Initiated this Foundation’s launch in 2005 as a non-profit organization for the upliftment of music through community education; launched and directed the Beka Bantwana National Competition for 5-16 year-olds in August 2013.
