After completion of the mandatory pre-master program I followed the master program of Chemical Engineering, and choose the Molecular & Materials Engineering track (M&ME). Graduated in May 2019.For my graduation project at the University of Twente I synthesized polymer brushes on silicon oxide wafers and analysed these with FTIR, SCA and AFM. The main objective was to gain insight in the polymer brushes friction, adhesion and swelling behaviour when exposed to good solvent vapour. During the graduation project I had the privileged to also analyse polymers with fluorescence response properties, which led to two publications. I successfully completed the master in May 2019.

Due to the work at Dr TEN I was highly motivated to submit an application as a Chemical Engineering master student at the University of Twente. In September 2016 I enrolled as a pre-master student at the University of Twente as I wanted to be educated further and gain knowledge. This is a mandatory to be able to enroll in the master program in Chemical Engineering. I completed the program within set time limits.

As a project leader I managed the projects in relation to flooring products and medical devices. I also contributed to the development of standards for testing flooring for EN and ISO organization. After training a few years, I also became an factory production control (FPC) auditor and performed factory production control audits of flooring manufacturers.

As laboratory employee I prepared and performed a variety of different tests on textiles and flooring products and soon grew into a project leader.Performing a large variety of test that needs to be executed and evaluated against standardized test schemes. The products to be tested are mainly textiles, and floor coverings.As a junior project leader I evaluated the test results, analysed them and drew up the conclusions which I also summarized in reports. The test work was scheduled by me, taking into account availability of equipment and laboratory personnel and customers needs considering delivery times. All under the guidance of the senior project manager and expert in the field of Floorings (Jan Brinks) and Textiles (Ronald Boerboom).

Hengelo

ACMAA and Harold Punte gave me the opportunity to conduct my bachelors internship under their supervision. The assignment was to validate several analytical methods including IPC-AES, GC-MS, HPLC, according to AS SIKB 3000 scheme for ACMAA in Hengelo, The Netherlands I was in charge of the validation, setting-up and executing a validation scheme in order to be ready for the audit by the RvA. I had the honor to be there also during the audit and to hear that indeed ACMAA had received positive advice and the accreditation accordingly. During the whole period I was under supervision of the competent quality manager Harold Punte.
