Result: within 4 years, team doubled, annual budget more than tripled, number of projects increased from 2 to 10• Provided analytical support for the development of climate change mitigation and adaptation policies for federal and subnational authorities of Russia and for Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Result: contributed to the launch of the first Russian emissions trading system in Sakhalin oblast, facilitated the development of climate risks management and adaptation plans in regions of Russia and at the level of the EEU• Examined and quantified risks and opportunities of global energy transition at the corporate and country (Russia) level including assessing impacts of the EU CBAM, changes in energy and climate policies (within UNFCCC/Paris Agreement), changes in commodity markets. Result: provided state agencies with climate and economic policy recommendations, accelerated the development of energy transition and climate risks management strategies in major Russian companies (PJSC Gazprom, PJSC Norilsk Nickel, PJSC Inter RAO, PJSC NOVATEK, RusGidro)

• Conducted meta-analysis of international and domestic climate and energy policies (in cooperation with Stanford, Hamburg, Reichman, Ghent Universities). Result: applied scenario analysis for diagnostics of risks of low-carbon transition on the national and sectorial levels, established key patterns of carbon pricing in fossil-fuel abundant economies, assessed the cost-efficiency of various incentive-based instruments of EU emissions reduction, conceptualized the framework for future Russian carbon pricing system (at national and subnational level), assessed the potential for the Arctic region development and resilience building under climate change and energy transition, etc.• Authored and coauthored more than 30 academic papers inc. these published in peer-reviewed high-profile academic journals (for e.g. Post-Communist Economies, Regional Research of Russia), chapters in books by distinguished publishing houses (Springer, Palgrave Macmillan), & impactful scientific reports (see for e.g. joint WBG & HSE University report).
