Deployed during initial days of Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill crisis to serve as aide to the Incident Commander in Houma, LA. Coordinated flow of information between liaison staff embedded in state and local Emergency Operations Centers and Incident Command. Took over job as Liaison Officer to St. Bernard Parish, LA to ensure a clear channel of communication between response stakeholders and Incident Command. Managed extreme levels of conflict and political sensitivity in a crisis situation. Volunteered to assume additional responsibilities as Logistics Section Chief for Hopedale Base in addition to Liaison Officer duties. Managed logistics support functions for 2,500+ personnel and 300+ vessels until closure of Hopedale Base in late 2010. Spent remainder of time on the response as Critical Resources Unit Leader at Area Command in New Orleans, LA managing staffing and demobilization for the entirety of the response.
