1. Managed a Switchyard Separation Project at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, various NERC CIP (V6 & V14) projects at multiple substations, DGA projects at multiple substations, DFR/PMU projects at multiple substations, and a RAS scheme for a power plant. 2. Managed licensing aspects of a project to install a 1,120 MVA 500-115 kV substation near Corona,CA.3. Managed licensing aspects of a 3 mile underground 500kV transmission line project and all aspects of contract preparations and permitting to enable on time start of the work.

Managed a Circuit Automation Program. Oversaw a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors who performed end point testing on automated distribution equipment. Was responsible for the annual installation of approximately 300 new automated apparatus throughout an electric distribution system including remote control switches, capacitor controls, and automatic reclosers. Supported technical design innovations for new automation techniques and equipment.

Wrote specifications, hired representatives, managed work to complete:1. Three major 230 kV Transmission Line Re-conductor Projects. Complete re-conductor with substantial lattice steel tower rebuilding2. Responsible for two 500 kV Transmission Line Re-rating Projects. Re-sagging, Conductor Removal, Lowering Sub-transmission and Distribution. 3. Responsible for bulk power and subtransmission civil foundation work, tower assembly and erection, wire stringing activities as necessary to support a new major substation installation. Obtained permits, contracts, and prepared schedules to support Bulk Power and Subtransmission rerouting for a new 230 kV substation.4. Responsible for two new power plant Generation Intertie Projects. Relocation of 230 kV Lines, connection of new inter-tie lines to a new power plant and to a new substation.5. Responsible for an offshore Saltwater Pipeline Project. Installed a new salt water delivery line to a desalination water plant on an island.

Managed the Capacitor Installation and Replacement Programs for Overhead and Underground Distribution. Drafted EDBL Standards (DDS, O&M, and OH & UG DCSM) as required for new construction methods. Developed simulators for automated equipment.

Managed projects to install control systems into powerplant and fuel pipeline operations. Prepared engineering economics calculations, budget estimates, specifications, and project schedules. Ordered materials, supervised installations, then managed start-up and testing.

As a powerplant engineer I managed civil/structural engineering plant improvement projects to replace pipelines, burner decks, and piping systems.
