System design of hardware, software and algorithms for battery management purpose.

As application engineer I am responsible for preliminary design of end customer application and first design verification. Mainly those designs were done with LTspice. Using spice simulation I have built few pieces of IC models including TPS92411. Improved BJT model has been designed for saturation and soft saturation region proper simulation. PWL is widely used for load modeling as well as other components. Optimizing feedback and solving stability issue I am using time domain as well as frequency one. The most significant project was designing and production support few modifications of switch mode power supply mainly for LED lighting purpose. This type SMPS, LED drivers, has very tight cost constrain. Mostly those SMPSs have been built based on fly back topology and support some features like primary side regulation, PSR, secondary side control, constant current constant voltage, CC/CV. One device was improved with primary side voltage compensation based on feed forward technology also known as line compensation. Another device was utilizing inductor-free topology. Quite cost effective device was CC/CV single stage SMPS with embedded PFC combined with original design secondary side active, linear filter. Making this design I was doing significant portion of spice modeling using LT-Spice and Tina-TI. Mostly spice modeling and optimization was focused on transient process validation and optimization. Another critical point was behavior verification under discreet components parameters spread and variation AKA corner analysis.

Was working for Texas Instruments Russia (Moscow), www.ti.com, as Field Engineer / Business Developer from the office launch. Spearheaded design-in support of TI Analog and Power Management products, following trough the business case until contract signing. Initially Rep office has no direct account and was collaborating with two leading international distributors, with my efforts the network of local disti and dealers was started. Personally I Identified and successfully supported numerous Russian and few international companies, generating significant business in following fields: • Industrial automation equipment • Power electronics: Electrical Motor Drivers, Invertors, Rectifiers, UPS• Security Systems: Car Alarm, Video SurveillanceSupporting local distributors, dealers and customers I had monetary design-in or pre-sale goals. With my direct efforts sales was increased by more than two times since office inception. Cooperating with marketing department I found several market niches, established relationships with leading local journals, translated from English more than ten technical articles and number of other marketing materials, and wrote several original technical papers for local media. Presented in TI public marketing events such as “TI developer conference 2007”, “TI technical days 2008”, “Power supply design seminar 2009”. In some location the number of attendees exceeded one hundred.

Maxim Integrated Products, www.maxim-ic.com, one of the leading manufactures of ICs, silicon chips, mostly of analog and analog/digital kinds. Worked for Maxim as field applications engineer from Moscow office inception. My primary goal was to create the local customers base and set relationship with distributors. Have grown active customer base to more then one hundred. Product supply channels were set in easy to execute and predictable way. In cooperated with local distributors I was making from 3 to 5 customer visits a week to support design-in for all recognized Analog and Power Management sockets.In marketing field I have translated numerous technical materials and submitted several original articles. I was presenting to public marketing events. Took part in corporate training program and attended several marketing evens like “Active Sales”, “Effective Negotiating”, etc.
