In this role I own all DevOps for Kars4Kids, with efforts focused on setting DevOps strategy, increasing automation and logging capabilities, improving CI/CD processes, and migrating infrastructure to AWS. I manage our AWS cloud environment supporting critical business applications that utilize Cloud Formation, VPCs, EC2, ECS, SES, S3, ELB, RDS, Aurora, IAM, and Docker.Projects have included a migration from Rackspace to AWS for all company websites, security enhancements for microservices and web apps, CI/CD automation to enable rapid testing for modified code, introduction of IaC approaches via CloudFormation, standing up Docker environments for developers, implementing Cognito for secure API authorization, and implementing Datadog for monitoring. During my tenure we have significantly reduced cloud operating costs.

Responsible for administration of all company systems. Focused on upgrading and optimizing on premise Data Center, improving security and designing disaster recovery plansProjects during this time included several upgrades to the AD Domain Controller Environment, upgrade to on-prem VMware environments, migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange Online, implementation of NGAV Falcon Endpoint, and upgrades to Veeam for backups.

I initially started in a support and maintenance role.Some of my responsibilities included setting up and managing 400+ desktops and servers, researching and implementing a remote management and monitoring solution and training new employees in software and company procedures.

In this role I assisted in network installation on a physical level and performed level 1 troubleshooting.Daily tasks also included testing copper and fiber cables, tracing network and jack connectivity, patching clients into the network, and determining port speed.

I was part of a six member team that manufactured equipment used in brain stimulation research.
