My job at ZOiS consists primarily of quantitative research within the scope of the “Youth and Generational Change in Eastern Europe” project. The focus of this project is directed toward quantifying and comparing young people’s perceptions of politics and sociological aspects in their respective countries.The goal of my analyses has thus far been on quantifying, visualizing and comparing survey data from countries in Eastern Europe, specifically Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Since Russia invaded Ukraine in Feb. 2022, our analyses have been extended to understanding the political behavior and opinions of Russian and Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war.

As a student research assistant, I partook in various research and data science tasks. Most of my assignments entailed data collection, data management and data analysis as part of the “Coalition Policy” project led by Prof. Dr. Heike Klüver.I have spent a significant amount of time researching and analyzing the behavior of radical right parties in Western Europe and their role in coalition agreements.

I worked with various members and partners of CSF as part of the Communications Team. My responsibilities included writing texts in Russian and English, as well as drafting CSF documents. Often, I was tasked with the translation of texts from Russian into English and vice-versa. I was also active in updating the CSF website content (Wordpress) and publishing news on social media (e.g. Instagram, Telegram).

In the summer of my gap year, I worked as a language interpreter from Russian to English for ballet students participating in the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive (BBASI) in New York City, USA.

As a recipient of the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX / PPP) scholarship funded dually by the American State Department and the German Bundestag, I spent my senior year of high school living in and going to school in Göttingen, Germany.
