Previously a founding member and treasurer of Lebanon's IT & Internet Association, and former member of the Telecom Committee at the Professional Computer Association (pca.org.lb).Winner of the Wireless Broadband Innovation Awards in 2009 in the Individual Achievement Award category. The WBI Awards recognizes leadership and innovation in wireless broadband. Named wireless broadband trend leader in Lebanon in 2003.A wireless technology visionary and market leader in spotting trends and breaking up monopolies. Brought to an end the monopoly of fixed wireless and created a competitive market in 2004 by offering eight times capacity for 80% of the price. In 2011 lead a strong lobbying effort for the liberalization of the telecommunication sector in Lebanon.In 2006, I played a groundbreaking role in the wireless broadband industry by creating “MOBI.” Recently launched Mobi 3G services.Volunteered to assist the executive director of the US Committee for UNICEF in Los Angeles in 1994-1995 (unicefusa.org). This involved performing business audits, evaluating the existing managerial structure, recommending ways to enhance performance, and conducting statistical analysis and comparison to existing humanitarian sector standards.An Alumnus of the Harvard Business School OPM '39. In December 2006, we set up the first Mobile Broadband Wireless Access operator in the Middle East, known under the brand Mobi.
