Region Of Peel Water System

-Responsible for overall management of the 1200 Mega Liters per Day (315 MGD) drinking water system globally recognized as one of the largest and most technologically advanced water treatment systems (UF Membranes, Ozonation, BACC & Conventional Filtration, Ultraviolet).-Final accountability and oversight in the strategic business plan and multi year budgeting including operations, maintenance, process and energy optimization, state of good repair, procurement, and capital projects support plan deliverables.-Managing a team of 23 staff and building organizational capacity through effective human resources development by authorizing recruitment activities, labour relations management, talent management, organizational design and succession planning.-Develop and deliver contracted services needs for the water system; establish requirements, terms and conditions for any required contracted services and ensure contracted work is completed properly in conformance with the contract.-Responsible for the performance management program for operations and maintenance departments that includes the setting and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve optimal efficiency.-Collaborate with industry partners, research institutions, various working groups; providing expert feedback on opportunities, challenges, and potential solutions in addressing key barriers to adoption of new technologies.

Region Of Peel Water System

-Led the development and delivery of the Process and Energy Optimization and Innovation Business Plan deliverable and performance reporting within the Water System. In this role I evaluated emerging processes in relation to (UF MBR, Ozonation, UV, Filtration, standby power, process monitoring systems) and energy (pumping optimization analytics, VFD/Soft starter) technologies, identified new technology opportunities and needs (energy and process data analytics), coordinated pilot testing opportunities and commercializing (DWRG, UBC, UWaterloo, GE/Suez).-A key member of the Energy Management team managing the energy usage projections, and annual reporting to municipal council and executive team.

King County, Seattle Wa

-Consultant on assignment for the King County Brightwater Membrane MBR Waste Water treatment project providing onsite project coordination, technical oversight, and commissioning support-Plant design integrates water reclamation, landscape, architecture, wildlife habitat, engineering, art, and education while adding a 36 MGD treatment capacity to the region

-Project coordination of commissioning activities with interdisciplinary, large scale, multi-partner membrane based water/waste water treatment plants utilizing GE/Zenon solutions across North America-Planned and coordinated activities consisting of electrical/mechanical checks, equipment startup, membrane installation, system functional testing, process startup, water level monitoring, sample collection/analysis, performance testing, customer training, scheduling, budget tracking, and transfer of system ownership to clients for mobile and full scale systems-Experience working with client teams composed of municipalities, consultants, electrical, mechanical and operations groups-Operations management and training experience with membrane based drinking water system at 30 MGD capacity

-Revised electrical and mechanical engineering drawings within the nuclear project portfolio using CAD contributing to a reduction of 30% in the design change backlog while strengthening CAD skills-Designed, published, the first OPG Student Newsletter for 50 university students posted on the corporate site to enhance communication across the organization and develop communication and project leadership skills
