I always knew that I wanted to help people but I wasn’t sure how to go about it. However, due to my passion for kids and autism, I always knew I wanted to work in the health care field. I started out wanting to pursue medicine but also had an interest in therapy as I majored in communication speech and disorders in college. During the pandemic, I had more time to think about what career path I really wanted to pursue. I got to understand the realm of therapy to a deeper level in college and realized I had a lot of potential in this field. I learned how one needs compassion, empathy, and patience to work with autistic children and this made me very passionate to decide to continue in therapy.After earning my Master of Science degree, I started working for Behavioral Innovations as a behavioral therapist. While working here, I learned about all the therapy fields including speech, behavior, and occupational therapy - giving me a more clear idea of my future career path. Outside of work, I have started my own business with the main focus to create culturally-inspired streetwear for a globally minded community.Networking is my favorite pastime.
