Now currently serving as a K-5 Intermediate Intervention Specialist for students with Mild to Moderate Disabilities, I continue to mentor youth and help them develop additional skill sets that allow them to be successful inside and outside of the classroom. As an Alumna from Grand Canyon University where I received my Master's in Special Education and a graduate from The University of Akron with a B.A. in Child & Family Development with a Certification in Parent Education, working with youth has always been a passion of mine. I have served as a mentor to youth through the YMCA after-school and summer programs, to teens as a Youth Development Professional at The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio and now at Columbus City Schools where I am able to build trusting and healthy relationships with youth who often feel misrepresented.
