I am currently a research intern at PEARL, where I have been focusing on a summer-long project examining the impact of human activity on the carbon cycle. Specifically, I am comparing these effects to those in tidal marshes and aquaculture, with a focus on oyster farming. My work involves actively testing for Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) and Colored Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM).

As a Resident Assistant (RA) it was a multifaceted role that involves providing support and guidance to students in a residential setting. As an RA I serve as leaders and mentors, helping to create a positive and inclusive community. I was responsible for organizing events, mediating conflicts, and ensuring a safe living environment. Additionally, as an RA I offered academic and personal support, acting as a resource for students navigating university life. During this position I gained stronger communication skills, problem-solving skills, and time management.
