I have completed my studies in Clinical psychology at Pepperdine University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. In my traineeship I have had the pleasure of working with diverse populations of students, individuals, couples and families. I have learned about the importance of mental health access as well as the need for self care for working professionals. As an Associate and future Licensed therapist I look forward to using my position to advocate for at risk populations in the community mental health sector. As a Black woman who was raised in a family where mental health was stigmatized I want to make it my duty to bring mental health awareness and access to the less served communities. Additionally, I hope to be able to take on a role as an educator of psychology in higher education to further share my knowledge and experiences and further diversify the higher education sector.
