My name is Imani Lee, and I am a rising junior studying Psychology with a minor in Political Science and working towards a Pre-Law Certificate. Balancing the challenges of being a student-athlete has strengthened my dedication to mental health, diversity, and inclusivity. I have a deep interest in Political Science research, and I am thrilled to be collaborating with the head of the Political Science Department at UH Hilo this upcoming semester. I look forward to contributing my research skills and knowledge of the legal system as a co-author on her publication revolving around the Rhizome Theory.Due to a variety of interests, I am currently exploring whether my future pathway lies in the legal field, working to become a foreign services officer, biomedical ethics, or possibly something else. To help narrow down my path, I am actively seeking hands-on opportunities in the Psychology, Political Science, and Law fields, including any research experience that might align with topics I am passionate about. Regardless of where my career might take me, I am motivated by a genuine desire to promote mental well-being and equality for all.
