I am a highly skilled Industrial Engineer with a can do attitude and progressive mindset. A strategist, a hands on and hard working individual who can lead a team towards a defined goal in any given situation. Adaptable and resilient in changes and I consider obstacles in my way as challenges to surpass and opportunities to perform. Fresh eye in the industry and able to see, think and approach differently and effectively in order to achieve desired success.I completed my primary and secondary education at D.S. Senanayake College Colombo, which is one of the leading schools in Sri Lanka. Then I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (AIT) which is a renowned university in Asia. I completed my Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma through Lean Six Sigma Company, Netherlands and looking forward to continue my studies towards Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. All the knowledge, education and experiences helped me to hold the grip in the fast paced corporate and industrial worlds and it molded me to confidently reach the next level in my career as well as life.I started my career as a Manufacturing Executive at Avery Dennison Lanka pvt ltd., and I gained a lot of experience, knowledge and confidence whereas I established in the industry and performed well in operations. While I progressed in operational roles for 3 years, I was offered an opportunity in the commercial end as a sales engineer. With 5 years of consistent performance and maturity in the industry along with many successful projects in both commercial and operations, I was promoted to business development manager focusing on embellishment and heat transfers within apparel and non apparel segment in Sri Lanka. Along with the past operational performances, technical expertise and proven track record, I was promoted to a global role as the Manufacturing Platform Standardization Manager for Embellishment and Heat Transfer looking after 8 countries in 5 regions.After completing almost 9 years of a successful tenure, I bid adieu to Avery Dennison as I wanted to seek broader career prospects in the area of manufacturing operations where it could provide me with exposure to plant operations, factory management and business establishment in an overseas country. With the expectations of getting an unparalleled career experience and achievement, I joined Nexgen Packaging as an Operations Manager and I currently lead their Kenya Operations that plans to grow rapidly covering the apparel and non apparel customer requirements in the African Region.
