I am currently a Biology student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, having transferred from Moraine Valley Community College with an Associate’s in Science in 2024. My academic journey reflects on my deep-rooted passion for animal care and welfare, as well as a commitment to enhancing the well-being of both people and animals.Empathy and strong interpersonal skills are central to who I am as a person. These attributes have been essential in my volunteer experiences and academic endeavors, particularly in my Honors Psychology class where I participated in preparing, packaging, and distributing meals to those in need. This experience was profoundly rewarding and reinforced my desire to pursue a career dedicated to helping others.As I explore future career paths, I am particularly drawn to fields that combine my passion for animal care and healthcare. I am eager to connect with professionals in both the veterinary and healthcare sectors to gain insights and experience that will help me determine whether to pursue a career as a veterinarian or a medical doctor.
