Louis Imbert is a Teaching Fellow in Law at Sciences Po. He possess expertise in human rights, immigration law, european migration policies, legal assistance, legal writing and 12 more skills. He is proficient in Italian, German and Spanish. Colleagues describe him as "Mr. Louis Imbert served internship at Lawyers for Human Rights' Johannesburg Refugee Law Clinic, where I served as his immediate supervisor. His work included conducting interviews with and screening the Law Clinic's clients to determine the nature of legal assistance they needed in their various circumstances; providing oral legal advice; researching and drafting Submissions/Heads of Argument to, amongst others, the Refugee Appeal Board on behalf of asylum seekers, making telephonic enquiries with and drafting correspondences to government institutions such as the Department of Home Affairs, Medical and Academic Institutions to relate refugee clients' concerns and to seek resolution to presented problems relevant to the respective departments. That Mr. Imbert had a deepened interest in and a positive attitude towards the Law Clinic work (Human Rights work), was clearly manifested in his inquisitiveness about the nature of our work from the very beginning of his internship. His research, drafting and communication skills, including team-workmanship, made him one of outstanding Interns that I have ever supervised over more than five years that I spent as a supervisor at Lawyers for Human Rights’ law clinics. It was a combination of these professional attributes and his demonstrated personality that made him both likeable and enviable among staff members.
