Bhaskar Anand is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He graduated with a Ph.D. from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hanyang University, Seoul, the Republic of Korea. His Ph.D. thesis was titled "Greener synthesis and modification of metal-organic frameworks for adsorptive removal of volatile organic compounds." Hanyang University conferred this thesis with the "Best Thesis Award" based on his research and academics. His research interest includes synthesizing and shaping advanced materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and metal oxides (MOs) for air purification by removing or degrading toxic gases such as Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, Formaldehyde, etc. Besides his research, he is passionate about pollution, public health, and climate change. Hence, he is also involved in environmental activism by spreading awareness. He expresses his view in opinion articles as a Guest Columnist at The Korea Times, mainly focusing on environmental, climate, and public health issues. He is also a member of the Commission on Education and Communication (CEC; 2021-2025) and Environmental, Economic, and Social Policy (CEESP; 2021-2025) at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
