Ibraheem is Head of Business Development & MENA Investments at USSA International LLC, a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary of an investment firm located in the Middle East. Ibraheem has over 13 years of experience as an international economist and management consultant. He is an expert in foreign direct investment and global public affairs.Prior to USSA, Ibraheem served as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mehmood Ben Debba (MBD), a boutique consulting firm that specializes in international expansion and new market entry. He also served as Senior Program Officer for Middle East & North Africa at the U.S.-based non-profit Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), helping facilitate cross-cultural dialogue between U.S. corporations and international political leaders from 21 countries in Middle East & North Africa. From 2016-2021, Ibraheem served as Senior Advisor on Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in New York City. Ibraheem also worked as a management consultant in the Strategic Innovation Group of Booz Allen Hamilton and as a research analyst in the Fiscal Affairs Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He also interned at the United Nations in Bangkok, Thailand, and at The White House National Economic Council under U.S. President Barack Obama. Ibraheem earned a Master of Public Policy, with a concentration in International Trade and Finance, from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. As a graduate student, he served as a teaching assistant to World Bank Chief Economist Carmen Reinhart, and advised the Lebanese Government on how to structure a sovereign wealth fund for their nascent oil and gas industry. Ibraheem earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, with honors from Virginia Tech. He studied abroad at Groupe ESC Dijon, Bourgogne in France. He is a Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) Fellow, Ronald E. McNair Scholar, and Boeing Scholar.Born and raised in the United States, Ibraheem’s father is Kashmiri from Pakistan, and his mother’s family immigrated from Ireland. He has lived in 4 different countries and has experience working with over 40 countries.
