To become a wastewater treatment professional, I studied at Sacramento State University's Office of Water Programs as well as completed Local 39's four year Wastewater Apprenticeship program, received certification from California's State Water Resources Control Board, and earned over nine years' experience in the field. Wastewater treatment oversight is a daily challenge of managing a dynamic environment and executing appropriate responses while looking to solve complex environmental problems. Operators work for the communities they serve and for the public good of sanitation and maintaining environmental health. In addition to these credentials, my past experience in various different fields have afforded me various supportive skills such as training, good communication skills, recruitment, working with the public, and providing quality customer service both internally and externally. Though I originally started my career in the private sector, my interests later led me to public service which is evidenced by my career choice, volunteer work, and organizations that I support.
Listed skills include Training, Management, Customer Service, Project Management, and 14 others.
