Triage phone calls, daily reviews of labs and f/u with patients with results and or MD recommendations. Daily Nurse visits include New OB education, injections-(Methotrexate, Depo, Rhogam, Tdap, Flu), NST, BP checks, incision checks. Constant updating of EMR (Greenway), referrals to other specialists, scheduling of OB procedures with hospital, education to patients for upcoming procedures and ordered testing, communicating with L&D by sending prenatal records and phone calls.

Staff nurse Med-Surg- Urology, Oncology unit. ADLs, medication administration, care plans, wound care, standard & isolation precautions, transfusions, working w/ interdisciplinary team. Insertion and or maintenance of Foley catheters, NG tube, IV. Care and management of Central lines, portacaths, PEGs. Up to 6 patient assignments. Jan. 2011Staff nurse, Triage nurse, Co-Charge nurse in Labor & Delivery on a high risk 29 LDR, 5 OR, 4 pre-op, 4 triage bed unit. Intake of patient via EMR, SVE, fetal monitoring and charting per AWOHNN, venipuncture, drawing cord gases, notifying MD of pertinent changes, assisting w/ cord blood banking, medication administration, bereavement care, assist with breastfeeding, and Telemetry. Circulated in OR cases for Cesarean sections or D&C. Labor and coaching during vaginal deliveries. Recoveries after deliveries and infant care until transfer to PostPartum. GE monitor used and managed for EFM, internal fetal monitoring, IUPC. Administered and managed Antibiotics, magnesium sulfate, pitocin, blood transfusions, insulin, IV hydration per hospital policy. Used Perinatal centricity for fetal monitoring and procedures, care plans, assessments. Meditech for EMAR, order entry, and reviewing labs. Assist with bedside procedures such as epidural placement by anesthesia, AROM, medication administration, operative vaginal delivery, hemorrhage protocol. As triage nurse would see patients under supervision of Hospitalist. Staff nurse and relief Charge nurse on high risk 20 bed Antepartum unit.
