I have to thank the 3PM, 10-minute stretches and 1.5 mile walks with my co-worker everyday or else I'd be stiff as a log after sitting and driving from work.Benefits to that is it helped with productivity and designing while I was in office.Thus:✅ We were able to roll out a redesign of the entire site with Director of Digital, Director of Production+Content, and KCET editors.✅ We created a video-first website which allowed viewers to stay and watch a favorite episode.✅ I produced visual design assets for promotional use when a campaign was running.

Believe it or not UX/UI was not the number 1 thing I learned here.Marketing was. And I’m thankful for that.You see I was in a meeting with the CEO when he asked us, “how the heck does this relate to marketing?” This meaning the designs my creative director and I designed.Although creative Director I was under had an answer, I was still sitting by myself wondering what marketing was.So I made it my mission to learn what marketing is so that I can relate to UX/UI.It was also where I learned:✅ The designs must relate to the business.✅ Designs I create has to have a “why”, meaning they can’t be designed without a reason.So understanding that insight allowed me to design:👏🏻 Design web-based applications to help with productivity within the internal team.👏🏻 Design countdown timer to have user keep watching a video on the iOS or Android.👏🏻 VEVO splash pages and other marketing promotions.

Collaborated with the user experience and visual design team on web-based applications including: Webisodes, David Kind, and Racevine.

Collaborated with the Zero Waste Committee along with students to develop a mark and postcard.

Collaborated with editors of Myriad to produce a 8x8 book for the club.
