My name is Omar Sekou Mitchell. I am 27 years old and live in Denver, Colorado. I am pursuing a degree majoring in Communications.I have a brand called “Dope At Its Finest.” I started it in 2016 as a blog/magazine to showcase artists, designers, and athletes from my city. Content creation, as well as creative direction, is something that Ihave mastered, as it plays a very critical role in successful brand building. I transitioned from only writing and editing to creating my own clothing and apparel for the magazine. Earlier this year, I boughtan office/warehouse for my business and named it Dream World Studios. The warehouse side of things consists of a photography studio, clothing printing machines, and space set up for podcasts, live events, and all things media.Over the past few years, I have penned articles for hundreds of musicians, artists, and creatives worldwide. Since last year, I have worked closely with Universal Music Group and their PR team, “1824”, interviewing and covering artists releasing new music. Within this past year alone, I have interviewed Leon Thomas, Big Boss Vette, Skilla Baby, and many more. I have also written pieces exclusively for Universal Music Group, Def Jam Records, Capitol Records, Interscope Records, and more. Lastly, I also manage two artists named David Bonds and OG Kareem.
